Island Chapel Ceremonies
Wedding Blessings are performed at the Island Chapel by Rev Chris Wallis on behalf of the Town Council.
All bookings must be made in the first instance with Sarah Kevern St Ives Town Council, with a request for Chris to perform the service. Chris does not perform wedding ceremonies at the Island Chapel as the building is not licensed, these are available at The Guildhall and couples traditionally parade from the marriage ceremony to the Island Chapel for a blessing.
You can request a sample wedding blessing order of service from Pastor Chris Wallis (01736 365982), however, he always tailors these to suit the couples preferences and is willing to accomodate readings and music suitable for the occassion.
A recommended donation is requested by the church to cover costs and support the charitable works of the church.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for our beautiful service at St Nicholas Chapel on Friday 11th May. As you are aware St Ives and the Island chapel hold a lot of very happy memories for me and it was just perfect to add our marriage blessing to those.
The service was beautiful and we have both reflected fondly on your wise words and advice for a strong and happy marriage and will do for many years to come.
Giles and I can’t quite believe we have been so lucky to find each other at our stage in life and as such value every moment we have together.
Thank you again and good luck with all of your essential work with the food bank

Just to say thank you so much again for such a lovely day and blessing on the 25th August. It was such a lovely ceremony and everyone had a brilliant time.
Rafa, myself and my parents send our best wishes and our thanks.
Just emailing you to thank you so much for our amazing blessing at the chapel. Our family and friends loved it as much as we did. It was emotional and beautiful. So glad we did it and so glad it was you who took the ceremony.

Thank you so much for the lovely photos and for everything else you did. Not only were you our minister, but you became photographer and waiter as well.
We couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to bless our marriage.

Renewal of Vows
Renewal Of Vows services at the Island Chapel can also be booked through the Town Council.Sarah Kevern
Many couples celebrate their marriage at significant milestones by renewing their vows. As with this couple who dressed up specially for the occassion and hired a fiddler to play for the ceremony.
Child Naming and Dedication Ceremonies
Some people do not want infant baptism but want to give thanks for their new child and celebrate with a naming ceremony. This may be a religious or social occassion, new life is always worth celebrating.
These services may be booked through the Town Council with Sarah Kevern.
