Living in the Future Present

July 10, 2016

As believers in Jesus Christ we KNOW we have so many promises that we have not yet fully acquired in our journey of faith. God so often tells us about our future and all the great things He sees as part of our destiny, both in scripture and prophecy and they seem so far away from current and past experience and circumstances that is tempting to dismiss them as fantasy, yet we are called to live prophetically and walk in joyful expectancy of ALL that He has promised.

I have experienced so many times Gods pronouncements of my destiny and inheritance when circumstances have almost shouted at me "That will never happen." The reality is that believing and faith in Gods words are the first step to receiving His promises.  Our journey is to move from saying "I believe Jesus is Lord" to "I KNOW Jesus is Lord" because I have seen Him take me from one situation and another into the humanly impossible.

I no longer just have faith that Jesus heals today "I KNOW Jesus heals". Likewise, "I KNOW Jesus delivers, I KNOW Jesus provides for all my needs. I KNOW Jesus speaks today" I know these things not because I have read them, been told them, but because I have experienced them.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us God said "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. NIV This was the future He spoke to a people in exile who undoubtedly had every right to say "No way"

When God looks at us He does not see our past, or our present situation, but He sees our future and calls us into our future.
