Blessed are those who are under the hand

October 4, 2016

In our current series on the beatitudes we have come to "Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth". I entitled the message as show at the header of this article. Because to be meek means that all your God given strength and passions are under the  hand and control of God, rather than being used up pursuing your own goals. Our human nature needs breaking in, we can be as stubborn as a mule that has not been broken, kicking and bucking until we get our own way. To be meek is one of the strongest characteristics required of us as Christians, and one of the toughest to develop. Below I have given a list of ten strategies to help you grow in meekness and be like and as strong as Jesus, who was totally submitted to His Father and gentle to all. If you think to be meek is weak, then I challenge you to be meek for a week.
